Aside from being a Ninja on set, Kyle is a Master Packer. Just look at the suit case he used for a week of shooting in NYC and Miami. He also looks a lot like the wheelchair kid from Glee.
Each month I’m going to post a photo that you can download to use as your computer’s wallpaper. It will always fall on a Wednesday, and will feature a recent photo that may not normally make it into a portfolio.
I want to keep the photos clean so you actually want to put them on your desktop. Because of this I’m choosing not to fill them up with watermarks, logos, or copyright stamps…but, to make it official, every photo on here is copyrighted and not meant to be printed or used without the permission of Austin Walsh Photography. You can download and use the photos for your computer’s desktop. If you want to talk about additional usage just call.

For the Worldwide Launch of Garmin’s new GarminFone, Art Director Jimmy Lam opted for the increasingly popular approach of combining TV, Print, and Web into the same production. The campaign titled “My Worlds” focuses on people, and how the GarminFone can enhance their lives.
This was a great project to be a part of. We worked closely with the creative team to create a schedule and approach that would allow us to shoot motion and still images simultaneously. The goal was to shoot 12 individual portraits for the Garmin International Launch campaign, a Lifestyle Image Library for phone companies and online ads, and intimate vignettes for the TV portion.
We put together a great crew that made shooting in Toronto a breeze. I think that this approach of shooting all mediums at the same time is a great way to give the campaign the consistent look it needs while also lowering production costs by sharing talent, locations, wardrobe, etc. If you have a solid production team and schedule you’ll come out ahead every time.

Bryan was a team rider for RideFourEver when I had the chance to photograph him and the rest of the team. We spent a few days hitting all of their favorite places and planned to shoot in the studio the following month. During that in between time Bryan passed away in a car accident. The team honored him at the studio shoot by painting his name on his board and having it in some shots. A year later, to honor Bryan’s life and love for skating RideFourEver released the Bryan Barrow Signature Board and hosted an event for local skaters called Barge for Barrow. Check out the beautiful board designed by our good friend Brandon Wilson, some shots of Bryan skating, and his teammates holding his skateboard.

Here is a piece that I recently shot and directed. Very proud of this one! Not only do I like the final piece, but I really love what it is promoting. A great event that will raise money for some great kids. Enjoy.
